Using ultra-low-voltage Intel® Celeron® processor J3455, and supporting dual-channel DDR3L SO-DIMM slot, the SPC series is super thin and lightweight despite its sturdy and durable structure. To meet the requirements for outdoor use and harsh environment, Avalue has especially integrated many rugged functions for industrial automation applications. Its SUS304 stainless steel exterior is impact-resistant, long-term wear-resistant and highly acid-alkali resistant, and does not get damaged even in harsh environmental conditions or when chemical cleaning agents are used. Protected against oxidation and bacteria growth, and is easy to clean, it is highly suitable for use in meat processing industry and chemical/ pharmaceutical manufacturing industry where bacteria growth is of particular concern. The SPC series also has a waterproof rating of IP66 and IP69K. Besides general water and dust resistance, it remains undamaged even when washed with pressurized hot water jets. Its waterproof power button and M12 waterproof connector also ensure tight seal and prevent liquid penetration, making it suitable for use in food and beverage production lines where high-pressure water is used for cleaning on a daily basis. Furthermore, its waterproof pressure relief valve allows exchange of hot and cold air within the machine even while blocking out dust, water and grease, rapidly balancing temperature and pressure inside and outside the machine. The dissipation of humidity and excess heat prevents the build-up of interior pressure from damaging the sealed exterior and internal electronic components, prolonging the lifespan of the equipment.

SPC-series rugged panel PCs are specially developed for environments with high humidity, dirt, grease and/or chemical hazards. Currently, applications of the SPC series is actively extended to foods processing factories, beverage factories, wastewater/ waste treatment plants, meat industry, smart transportation, smart agriculture/ fishery/ husbandry industries, and factory automation.

- High levels of customization with many matching options for rapid upgrading

To help customers reduce massive resources and time needed for assembly and testing, which could lead to additional problems, Avalue provides customization and a wide array of flexible solutions to enable painless integration into customers’ existing systems. The SPC series comes with five sets of waterproof and shockproof M12 connectors, which are preset as DC/ LAN/ USB2.0 x2/ COM, to provide data backup security, and reliable and easy connection. Customers may also choose to customize I/O ports according to specific requirements. While highly versatile, the 304-stainless-steel exterior may be replaced with 316-medical-grade stainless steel, which outperforms in strength and corrosion resistance. In terms of installation, both VESA mount and YOKE mount are available. YOKE mount, in particular, allows user to tilt the screen to the most preferred viewing angle whether it is mounted on the desk or ceiling. The SPC series’ PCAP touch panel is available in three touch options, i.e. normal finger operation, glove use and wet condition, which can be adjusted according to customers’ requirements.

The SPC series offers many other value-added service and design options. Besides high brightness for sunlight readability, a wide variety of surface treatments are available to meet the requirements of different environments. For instance, anti-glare coating solves problems that arise from changes in lighting condition, mist and dirt, and effectively reduces reflection from screen surface; while anti-fingerprint coating repels water, fingerprint and annoying grease, reinforcing the stability of using touch panel in an industrial environment. The SPC series (SPC-1533-B1/ SPC-2133-B1) is compatible with mainstream operating systems, such as Windows® 10, Linux and Android x86 8.1. Integrating wide temperature range (-10℃~50℃), wide voltage range (+12~24V DC in), rugged fanless system, compact body and multiple rugged waterproof interfaces, the SPC series ensures stable system operation in harsh working environments.
