PARK HYATT BUSAN SELECTS NEW DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE AND EXECUTIVE CHEF

Park Hyatt Busan is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Jan Brueggemann as new Director of Food & Beverage and Mr. Vincenzo Carbone as the hotel’s new Executive Chef.

German-born Jan Brueggemann boasts extensive experiences in dining service and gourmet culture, developed at luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, from Germany to Portugal, England, the United States, the Maldives, Thailand, the West Indies, Canada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Bahamas. Since 2015, he has served as Director of Food & Beverage at numerous destinations including Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf, The Pink Sands Club Canouan Island, Albany New Providence, and Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. Jan’s appointment as Director of Food & Beverage at Park Hyatt Busan marks the beginning of his new engagement with the luxurious Park Hyatt brand.

Jan’s abundant experiences at luxury hotels and resorts, his understanding of diverse cultures and outstanding communication-based leadership are set to drive new innovation, creativity and progress in all areas of dining and culinary service at Park Hyatt Busan. Executive Chef Mr. Vincenzo Carbone, a native of Italy, arrives with more than 30 years of experiences gained at restaurants and hotels in both Europe and Asia. Positions at Grand Hyatt Oman and Grand Hyatt Shanghai saw him honored with the Ambassador of the Culinary Arts award from the Italian Premio Guido Alciati Turin. Acclaimed for his talents in sharing the flavors of authentic Italian cuisine, Vincenzo joined the Salvatore Cuomo Group as Corporate Executive Chef and Managing Director for Asia Pacific region. Under his leadership, the group opened multiple restaurants in Korea, China, Japan and Singapore. He later continued to build his outstanding reputation as Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Hangzhou and Park Hyatt Suzhou.

Vincenzo’s creating dishes, consulting talents and passion for cooking are set to bring exciting change across Park Hyatt Busan’s culinary portfolio throughout all dining and drinking venues, including the Living Room Bar, the Lounge, the Patisserie and its multiple Event catering venues.
