Porsche Korea (CEO Holger Gerrmann) announced that it held the 'Dream Up Concert' on the 24th at the SAC Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, celebrating the brand’s 10th anniversary.
The concert, in collaboration with ChildFund Korea (Chairman Hwang Youngkey), was held in association with Porsche Korea's ongoing social contribution campaign, 'Porsche Do Dream’, now entering its 8th year. Porsche Korea has expanded the scope of its beneficiaries, introducing 10 programs across 5 different fields: education, sports, arts and culture, environment, and society.
On this day, the 'Dream Up' students took the stage for a special performance to showcase their talents and take a step closer to realizing their dreams. Porsche Korea CEO Holger Gerrmann, ChildFund Korea Vice President Lee Soo Kyoung, and other sponsors of ChildFund Korea were present to commemorate the occasion.
The ‘Dream Up Concert’ consisted of three programs - traditional arts, classical music, and ballet. Students with outstanding talents in various fields, including Gayageum, Korean traditional dance, Cello, Bass trombone, Viola, Piano, and Ballet, each performed their skills honed over time.
Notably, the event also screened a video featuring the two-week training program, ‘Porsche Turbo for Dreams’ which was held last July in Stuttgart, Germany, a city world-renowned for ballet. It was then followed by solo and group ballet performances, leaving the audience profoundly touched and inspired.
Additionally, the Korean National Symphony Orchestra celebrated Porsche Korea's 10th anniversary and performed capturing pieces to support the children. Porsche Korea also presented scholarship certificates to the 'Dream Up' students, encouraging them on their journey in realizing their dreams.
Porsche Korea CEO Holger Gerrmann said, “Porsche Korea’s journey over the past 10 years represents an important milestone in our commitment to supporting children’s dreams for a better future. Among these efforts, 'Do Dream' has been more than just a talent-nurturing program, giving inspirations to all those who participate and who are seeing their progress." He added, “We support the dedicated young talents who have worked hard to take a step closer to realizing their dream, and we will continue to provide ongoing support for many more children in the future.”
Porsche Korea’s continuous efforts for social contribution in collaboration with ChildFund Korea include programs such as 'Porsche Dream Up', which provides scholarships to talented children, 'Porsche Dream Playground' for building indoor gymnasiums, and 'Porsche Dream Circle' for offering green spaces in schools.
As part of Porsche Korea’s social contribution campaign ‘Porsche Do Dream’, ‘Porsche Dream Up’ was established as the brand’s representative program for the future generation by supporting the dreams of talented children in arts and sports. Over the years, Porsche Korea has sponsored a total of 266 students and has produced meaningful results.
Meanwhile, Porsche Korea, founded in 2014 as a subsidiary of Porsche AG, has successfully launched a wide range of new models every year and has built a strong brand image of unparalleled sports cars. Henceforth, Porsche Korea will make continuous efforts to spearhead the sports car segment in the domestic market.
