Porsche Korea (CEO Mathias Busse) in collaboration with the International Sports Exchange Association (ISEA, Chairman Lee Jin), announced that it had successfully completed ‘Porsche Turbo for Dreams – Football’, a football camp to discover promising football talents and provide overseas training in Germany on the 17th and 18th.
‘Porsche Turbo for Dreams’ debuted this year starting with its ballet program. Under Porsche Korea's social contribution campaign, ‘Porsche Do Dream’, the talent development program provides opportunities for skillful students in various fields of arts to broaden their perspectives and develop global capabilities.
With ‘Porsche Turbo for Dreams – Football’, Porsche Korea has expanded its support to the field of sports. Students selected in the program’s local football camp will have the opportunity to participate in an overseas training program hosted by Germany’s Bundesliga team, VfB Stuttgart.
The youth football camp, which took place at Songpa Women's Football Field from October 17th to 18th, was attended by 60 students from grades 5 and 6. Coaches from VfB Stuttgart flew in for the event, providing one-on-one coaching in dribbling, passing, trapping, and shooting, as well as specialized position training and small group sessions, all based on the German coaching style.
At the camp, Porsche Korea selected four students with remarkable talents who will participate in a week-long overseas football camp from November 6th to 12th. During the week, the students will watch a home game of VfB Stuttgart, meet professional players, and participate in three friendly matches with the youth teams from Bundesliga 1 clubs, including VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Stuttgarter Kickers.
Porsche Korea CEO Mathias Busse said, “It is highly meaningful that the VfB Stuttgart team, home to Porsche's headquarters, visited Korea to offer structured training and the opportunity for an overseas football camp.” He also said, “We hope that the ’Porsche Turbo for Dreams - Football' program will serve as a positive motivator, inspiring young football talents in Korea to grow into globally competitive players.”
In addition to ‘Porsche Turbo for Dreams', Porsche Korea also supports future generations through its ‘Porsche Dream Up’ program, offering scholarships to young talents.
