Park Hyatt Busan's Living Room Presents Its “MY LITTLE PARIS DESSERT BUFFET”
Park Hyatt Busan's Living Room, a modern French restaurant, presents the “My Little Paris Dessert Buffet,” offering a sweet trip to Paris full of love and romance. The dessert buffet offers representative French desserts with colorful visuals and luxurious flavors, including eclair, macaron, Mont Blanc, mille-feuille, Paris-Brest, Madeleine, choux cream, raspberry charlotte cake and meringue. Guests can enjoy the sweet taste of Paris without going to France, alongside cute, attractive little decorations representing the city of Paris. Moreover, the dessert buffet is served with every Living Room set and is available for both lunch and dinner. Lunch sets consisting of three or four courses can be chosen according to guests' preferences, and dinner can be enjoyed in four or six courses. Our sets are presented according to the season, using the freshest ingredients that are available on the market. In addition, both lunch and dinner sets are served with premium coffee or tea. Living Room’s lunch is from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner is available from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. First, the “Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set,” full of sweet strawberry flavors and colorful desserts, will be served, including strawberry shortcakes filled with whipped cream and strawberries, strawberry and berry pavlova, crispy and soft inside, strawberry tarts made with fresh strawberries, strawberry cheesecake with a deep cheese flavor, and moist and sweet strawberry chocolate cake. It also offers a variety of freshly baked homemade scones, including mini salmon burgers, crab salad eclairs, strawberry brioche tarts, and asparagus and shrimp sandwiches. The “Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set” is available from 2 PM to 6 PM and priced at KRW 65,000 for two people (including taxes). Park Hyatt Busan’s Modern French Restaurant Living Room is presenting its winter dinner menu from which guest can enjoy a variety of menus items using fresh seasonal ingredients to satisfy guests’ winter appetite. Living Room, which is a romantic and warm place for a winter dinner, offers a four-course or six-course “Degustation” winter dinner menu from which guests can enjoy various winter delicacies. For an appetizer, guests choose between Korean abalone escabeche, sweet pumpkin soup and local poached prawn. Guests can taste all the dishes when ordering the six-course menu. Once the mouth is refreshed with sorbet, one can choose either grilled rib-eye beef, local seabass or roasted sweet pumpkin dishes to suit one's personal taste. The colorful desserts available buffet style adds to the pleasure. In addition, guests can enjoy a deeper and more harmonious flavor with a selection of elegant French cuisine and wine pairing recommended by Minwook Bak, sommelier of Park Hyatt Busan. For an extra KRW 45,000, four wines are offered for four courses, and for an extra KRW 65,000, five wines are offered for six courses. The winter dinner menu at Living Room, where guests can enjoy the pleasures of taste and have a warm time with people who love to enjoy dining out in the cold winter, is available from 6 PM to 10 PM. Park Hyatt Busan's Living Room Bar, one of the most romantic dating spots for lovers well known for its stunning night views of Gwangan Bridge and live performances, is pleased to present its four Christmas cocktails. All of which uniquely presented making for the perfect combination of drink and atmosphere. First, “Dear Mr. Santa” is a gin-based cocktail mixed with Cointreau, beet juice and cranberry foam. Its name derives from its presentation resembling Santa Claus himself with his red clothes and white beard. “Snow Flower” is a sake-based cocktail with peach liqueur, Campari & cranberry juice, mixed to perfection for a light cocktail suited for all tastes. Another unique creation is our reinterpretation of a U.S. and European favorite: “Brandy Egg-nog” is our twist on this truly festive drink featuring vanilla syrup and whipped cream making it the smoothest of all. Lastly, our non-alcoholic “Festive Fizz,” will be introduced, using fresh strawberries and whipped cream, allowing guests to enjoy a sweet and creamy cocktail. Our three kinds of Christmas cakes include an “Orange-Chocolate Gingerbread Cake,” reminiscent of a cottage in the mountains, a coffee flavored “Igloo Tiramisu Cake” filled with mascarpone cream cheese, and a “Festive Strawberry Shortcake” bursting with the taste of fresh Korean strawberries and soft whipped cream. In addition, a homemade Santa-shaped chocolate figure, “Santa Chocolate,” a “Santa Boot Chocolate” full of white, milk and dark chocolate balls, a “Panettone” with white chocolate and amarena cherries, a “Christmas Tree Cookie” made of Swiss Mailänderli cookies and meringue, and traditional German Christmas “Stollen” bread are also offered. A Sense of Soigné : Seoul Restaurant to Host First-of-its-Kind Feast for the Senses on December 30th
Soigné in Seoul is to host ‘Soigné NIGHT’, a multi-sensory, gastronomical experience, on December 30th 2017. The event will be the first of its kind in South Korea, as attendees are invited to undergo a range of sensebased activities as they enjoy Soigné’s one Michelin Starred cuisine. The evening will see the restaurant divided into sections, each allowing visitors to engage in an exciting, food-based activity. Owner-Chef Jun Lee says that curating a ‘dramatic dining experience’ has been one of his main goals since starting his culinary career. He has also drawn inspiration from El Somni; a documentary released in 2014 showing inter-disciplinary collaboration between various artists to create a unique eating experience. “The documentary claims that such a dining event is only possible in a historically artistic city like Barcelona,” says Chef Lee. “I wanted to rise to the challenge of re-creating such a thing in Seoul. If any restaurant here in Korea can do it, I believe it is Soigné.” Owner-Chef MR. Jun Lee The Soigné Night amuse bouche course will include partitioned ‘sight’, ‘smell’, ‘touch’ and ‘hearing’ zones, allowing guests to indulge their senses as they enjoy the first course of the meal. Following the amuse bouche multi-sensory experience, guests will move to the bar area and enjoy a classic, five-course menu with table-side plating service.
