Yamaha has announced the addition of a new wireless microphone option to its ADECIA family. The ADECIA Wireless conferencing solution includes the new RM-W wireless microphones, the RM-CR remote conference processor, VXL-16P Dante PoE line array speakers, and SWR Series PoE network switch. As with other ADECIA options (ADECIA Ceiling and ADECIA Tabletop), all the components work together seamlessly to provide the most comfortable and effortless remote conferencing experience. "As hybrid environments in enterprise and education spaces become the norm, the addition of the wireless microphone solution to our ADECIA portfolio rounds out the available options, allowing customers to choose the best solution for their needs," said Tatsuya Umeo, CEO of Yamaha Unified Communications. "With the backbone of ADECIA's features and advanced technologies, customers can be confident that no matter what microphone option is selected, they are receiving top-quality audio in the room and for far-end participants with an unmatched installation experience." Utilizing the automatic setup guides, ADECIA Wireless automatically recognizes components, pairs microphones, and configures them according to the room's environment to ensure high-quality audio while reducing setup time and complexities. They're engineered with Yamaha's industry-regarded technologies like automatic echo cancellation (AEC), which adapts to changes in the environment that impact the audio in the room, and Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD), which identifies and differentiates between a voice and a noise for superior voice capture. Built around the latest DECT technology, the wireless microphone setup includes a wireless spectrum analyzer to advise on how many additional microphones can be added to the system based on other wireless traffic in the area. The system delivers the highest-quality audio possible with approximately 20 hours of continuous microphone operation time using the included rechargeable battery. It avoids troublesome wiring problems by utilizing one PoE+ network cable connection and enabling audio control via Dante. Organizations can customize ADECIA Wireless to best fit their space and use case with 6-inch gooseneck, 12-inch gooseneck, omnidirectional boundary, or directional boundary tabletop microphone models. In addition to being utilized in ADECIA Wireless, the sleek, modern RM-W wireless microphones are available as stand-alone options alongside the newly announced RM-TT tabletop and RM-CG ceiling-mount microphones. Yamaha's innovative audio processing technologies like adaptive AEC reside within the microphone's wireless access point to allow for expandability of existing DSPs and reduction of post-processing setup resources and costs. "While we recognize ADECIA delivers a complete conferencing product for many, we also understand the need to add microphones to an existing system or customize a solution for a particular use case," said Holger Stoltze, Senior Director of Technical Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Unified Communications at Yamaha Unified Communications. "Offering our wireless microphones as a stand-alone option widens the opportunities for our customers to create a high-quality audio experience no matter what." Yamaha Announces Dante-Enabled Ceiling and Tabletop Microphone Models
Yamaha today announced the RM-TT tabletop and RM-CG ceiling-mount microphones for conferencing applications designed around the Dante platform. These standalone microphones pack all of Yamaha's powerful sound technologies, including automatic voice tracking, auto gain control, adaptive echo cancellation, noise reduction, and reverberation suppression for optimal collaboration experiences while seamlessly integrating with the room's existing conferencing equipment or a variety of third-party components. "Following the success of our ADECIA line, the RM microphone family was engineered to provide all the advantages we built into that complete solution, but in a standalone model for applications utilizing Dante networking protocols," said Holger Stoltze, Senior Manager of Technical Sales and Marketing at Yamaha Unified Communications. "This allows integrators seeking Yamaha's high-quality audio leadership to upgrade the room's microphones easily and with confidence. They can, for example, add each microphone to the room's existing DSP while still benefitting from all of Yamaha's latest, state-of-the-art audio processing technology. It also allows designers and consultants to use Yamaha technology in new designs with third-party equipment." Yamaha RM-TT Dante-enabled tabletop wired microphones and RM-CG Dante-enabled ceiling-mount microphone array both feature voice tracking technologies, allowing for lively conversations to be picked up and delivered clearly to the far end. The tabletop model voice tracking function automatically selects the microphone closest to the person speaking for superior voice capture, and its human voice activity detection technology anticipates additional voice locations for seamless conversation pickup. The RM-CG features Yamaha's dynamic beam tracking, which utilizes multi beams to automatically track voices within the room simultaneously. This technology eliminates the need to program fixed lobes, which can often lead to dead spots within the meeting space. Design changes or room setup flexibility can also be done without the need to reprogram microphones. The ceiling microphone array supports ceiling mount, wire mount, or pole mount options. Both microphone options are available now. More information on Yamaha Unified Communications' full product portfolio is available at uc.yamaha.com
Vermont Chamber of Commerce Taps Yamaha’s Conferencing Solutions to Conduct Clear Meetings
Yamaha Unified Communications today announced that the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (OVRCC) serving south-central Vermont has selected Yamaha UC audio solutions to help make virtual meetings more productive and satisfying for in-person and remote participants alike. Acting on the recent inputs of participants who were unable to hear all meeting attendees properly, OVRCC worked with Yamaha UC to find a solution that would capture and play meeting audio with crisp clarity while providing the simplicity of use, portability, and easy setup needed to support virtual and hybrid events in several locations. Ultimately OVRCC selected two solutions from Yamaha that answered their exact requirements. The first was the Yamaha YVC-200 USB & Bluetooth® Speakerphone. The YVC-200 is ideal for meetings with up to four local participants. It features a rechargeable battery with up to 10 hours of use, or more when connected to a computer or laptop via USB; plug-and-play, compact design to start meetings with zero troubleshooting; and a protective travel pouch. The feature set was the perfect combo to facilitate the chamber's smaller meetings, allowing the members to bring the unit to different sites and set up easily and quickly. For larger meetings, such as membership meetings with up to 30 onsite participants, OVRCC selected the Yamaha YVC-1000 Microphone and Speaker System. The YVC-1000 allows microphones to be placed and moved around the table or room and the speaker to be placed in a central location for natural sound output. A total of three microphone elements per microphone pod provide ample coverage of larger meeting areas with more participants. The powerful speaker allows all members in the room to hear remote participant commentary much more easily. Since the OVRCC started using the Yamaha products, meeting efficiency has dramatically increased, and the membership has appreciated being able to hear and be heard. Meetings are no longer disrupted or delayed due to audio issues and repetition of items that may have been missed. Remote participants have commented on how they feel more engaged in the sessions and how they no longer need to strain in order to hear commentary. "Yamaha helped our organization come together seamlessly, whether joining in-person or remotely," said Carol Lighthall, Executive Director of OVRCC. "It's incredibly difficult to overlook bad audio when you're trying to communicate new ideas and promote new business activity, but with good audio, we're stronger and more inspired to elevate our services." The Echo 5 hub features four Thunderbolt 4 ports and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) Type A charging port. Sonnet's hub delivers up to 85 watts of charging power and is compatible with all computers with Thunderbolt 4 ports; all M1 Max, M1 Pro, and M1 Mac® computers; all Mac computers with Thunderbolt 3 ports; and iPad® Pro tablets with a Thunderbolt port. What It Does: Thunderbolt hubs provide users with a central place to connect their computer peripherals — such as storage devices, input devices, displays, etc. — instead of directly to a computer that often has fewer ports than desired. Sonnet's Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub enables notebook and laptop computer users — and iPad Pro users — to connect to all their peripheral devices at once through a single Thunderbolt cable. Through the same cable, the Echo hub can also charge compatible computers with up to 85 watts of power. Depending on the computer or iPad Pro which it's connected to, the Echo hub also supports connecting one (always 4K, up to 5K, 6K, or 8K) or up to two displays (4K + 4K, 5K + 5K, or up to 6K + 6K). Why It's Important: Many current notebook and laptop computers offer fewer peripheral ports than the models of the past, limiting the number of devices that can be plugged in directly. Also, one computer port is often used for charging, further reducing peripheral connectivity. Sonnet's Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub overcomes these limitations by enabling the connection of up to nine devices at once (including up to two displays) and charging the computer, all through a single cable. With its three 40Gbps Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C®) peripheral ports and one 10Gbps USB Type A charging port, the Echo hub connects the vast array of devices available from the past, now, and in the future, and easily supports high-performance peripherals. How It's Distinctive: Featuring four Thunderbolt 4 ports (three for peripheral device connection, one for connecting and charging the computer), the Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub provides users with the capability to connect three bus-powered Thunderbolt end devices at once, instead of limiting them to connecting multiple separately powered devices in a daisy chain. In all, the hub's Thunderbolt ports support up to five Thunderbolt peripherals. For users with more USB than Thunderbolt peripherals, the Thunderbolt 4 ports do double duty — they support USB4® and USB 3 devices (including displays) when connected with the correct cable or adapter, even at the end of a Thunderbolt device chain. Sonnet designed its hub to provide up to 85 watts of power through its computer connection and charging port — instead of only 60 watts provided by competing products — enabling it to charge and power a much wider variety of computers at or near full power. The Echo hub's 10Gbps USB Type A charging port supports most USB peripherals, including superfast USB NVMe SSDs, at full speed. Unlike some other hubs, the USB Type A port on the Echo 5 provides up to 7.5 watts of power to ensure bus-powered devices will operate without fail and can be used to charge a phone or tablet. When used with an iPad Pro with a Thunderbolt port, the Echo hub provides users the same capability to connect multiple devices to their tablet at the same time, while also charging it at full power. Users may also connect a single (up to 6K) display to mirror the content on the iPad's built-in display. When You Can Get It: The Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub (part number ECHO-HB5-T4) is available now at the suggested retail price of $199.99.
