From September 15 to 18, ‘Tokyo Game Show 2016’ was opened at Makuhari Messe, Chiba ken, Japan.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary this year, ‘Tokyo Game Show 2016,’ the show that represents Japan, is co-hosted by Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and Nikkei BP, and specially cooperated with DWANGO. The event is organized into a business-day on September 15 and 16, when only game business people and mass communication officials can enter, and a public-day on September 17 and 18, when all the visitors can enter.

Before the opening of ‘Tokyo Game Show 2016,’ Bandai Namco Entertainment (BNEI) progressed a presentation event ‘2016 Pre-TGS Press Tour,’ which introduces the new titles from its office located in Tokyo. In this event, it presented the major titles facing releases from BNEI and explained their features.

Through this presentation, ‘Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 : Road To Boruto’ session, being developed by CyberConnect2, was progressed. Hiroshi Matsuyama, Representative of CyberConnect2, and Miho Nakagawa, Producer of BNEI, were presenters for the session.

According to the announcement, ‘Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 : Road To Boruto’ is a final expansion of ‘Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4,’ which is the fourth work of ‘Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm’ series that global cumulative shipments reached 15 million. The people in Boruto generation and Leaf Village that has been changed as time went by are on the game, and the users can play unique boss battle of ‘Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm’ series.

The story of the game is fundamentally about the theatrical version of animation ‘Boruto: Naruto the Movie,’ but some parts are modified. Some of the settings of the comic book, which is still being published, are also applied to the game. This is because, if the story is biased toward one side, new users might feel a sense of incompatibility. It is claimed that they hope many users enjoy the game, so they will present the story that both existing and new users would satisfy.

In case of the battle system, it is maintaining the system of ‘Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’ as much as possible, so there is no new thing to be learned. In case of the multiplay, users who have only the original game without DLC can also play battles so that it is possible to have battles with lots of users.

About the playing time of DLC contents, Matsuyama expressed confidence by saying, “Apart from the main quests that follow the story, there are newly added side quests that are hidden everywhere in the village. So, the users will not feel they lose out.”

Matsuyama answered the question of asking impression of completing ‘Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm’ series continued for 10 years by saying, “Since it is the final work, it means a lot, and we are trying to go beyond the acclaimed previous work.” Nakagawa said, “I’ve been participated from the third work, but until now, the comic book was concluded, and it is an honor to work together until the end of ‘Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm.’”

‘Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 : Road To Boruto’ will be released in PlayStation 4 and PC Steam platform, and its release in Asia is not decided yet.
