Department of Tourism (DOT) will be holding an online event entitled “Shall we go to BOHOL this autumn?” on DOT’s official website and Naver blog for two weeks from September 11 to 24.

This event has been designed to celebrate Air Busan’s expansion on Busan – Bohol route during the upcoming Chuseok holidays. There will be a total of four irregular flights between Busan and Bohol – departing from Gimhae International Airport on September 27, 30, October 3 and 6.

Event participants will simply be required to leave a comment with reasons they want to travel to Bohol on DOT’s official Naver blog after watching travel v-log filmed by some famous Youtubers in Bohol on the DOT’s website. 50 randomly picked winners will be awarded a Starbucks mobile coffee coupon. Winner announcement will be on September 26.

Meanwhile, Bohol has recently been receiving a lot of attention among Korean travelers through word of mouth. Major attractions in the Bohol province include Chocolate Hills which boasts a spectacular view of 1,200 hills, Balicasag Island, a mecca for under-water divers for an excellent underwater environment, clear and clean Virgin Island, and Loboc River which is known as the Bohol’s Amazon for its dense rainforest. And, tourists can also meet tarsiers, world’s smallest primate that can be found not anywhere else but in Bohol.

In addition, the official website of DOT introduces various Philippine travel destinations per each travel theme and provides various travel tips such as travel information, maps, and recommended activities. It also connects to travel agency websites where travelers can directly purchase the corresponding travel package.
